Epsom Station, Surrey

Parkridge Securities obtained detailed planning permission for a multi-faceted £25M mixed- use regeneration development of the tired and facility poor Epsom Station, in 2005. The award winning design by Hamilton Associates, integrated a scheme of 116 apartments, 1,500 sq m of retail facilities, and a new booking hall, ticketing area, public realm, and platform side refurbishment works, into a complex urban transport node. After initial approval had been secured from HMRI, Network Rail withdrew from the scheme due to political strategy changes. A variant of the scheme is now being delivered by Solum Regeneration, the Network Rail and Keir joint venture, established to complete a package of Surrey station redevelopments.
